I feel like the setting is really, really good! It was one of my favorite parts of this book. My only thing is that this is a scene toward the end of the book? I mean, it’s not like it spoils anything though. I think it definitely fits the style of these books. Unless…you get incredibly hooked that is. It will take you a good amount of time to read. It’s the best deal I’ve found.Īlso, this (and other books in the series) is pretty long. Okay, so in my opinion these books aren’t the best quality? They’re mass-market paperbacks, so even opening and reading the book tears up the spine of the book.Īnd, because I feel like you’ll get hooked, here’s a link to the first five. This book is all about her finding thar out and transitioning into the Lost Cities, a magical world. So basically, there’s a girl named Sophie who finds out that she’s an elf. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death-and time is running out. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.īut Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. No one knows her secret-at least, that’s what she thinks…īut the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone.

The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. In this riveting series opener, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world before the wrong person finds the answer first. However, if you want to discuss spoilers for this series in the comments, go ahead! (Just leave a warning please!)Īlso, Unlocked comes out next week, and I’m super stoked to get my preorder for it! I’ve never preordered a book before, but I think this one is worth it. Hello Guardians! Today, I’m going to be reviewing one of my favorite books ever, Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger! Now, I’m probably a bit bias, but I’m going to try to be as objective as I can for this review.
